The Funky Phantom (1971)

"It's Funky Phantom time! Woooooooo!" The Funky Phantom was a Saturday morning cartoon, produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1971. Similar to Hanna-Barbera's successful Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, the show had three teenagers Skip, April, Augie, and their dog Elmo. They solved spooky mysteries with the help of two ghostly companions, a Revolutionary War-era ghost named Jonathan Wellington "Mudsy" Muddlemore (with Daws Butler referencing his Snagglepuss voice for Mudsy) and his cat, Boo. The two of them allegedly hid from the British inside a longcase clock during the Revolutionary War, but then couldn't get out; their ghosts emerged from the clock almost two centuries later.
